There were a total of 13,346 entrants through Friday night registered in the 25th annual Crim Festival of Races - that includes a 10-mile wheelers, 10-Mile run, 8K run, 8K Walk, 5K run, 5K family walk, 1-mile run, a 1-mile walk, and a 'teddy bear trot'. A record field of 6,424 started this morning for the 25th Crim 10-mile road race in downtown Flint. The race is named after former Michigan Speaker of the House Bobby Crim - a booster of Special Olympics after attending one of their events at Kearsley High in 1976. He returned to Lansing and got to work putting together the first Crim race as a fund-raiser for Special Olympics.
